Day One (Full Backup) The day one full backup functions like any traditional full backup procedure. A full backup can include all the files on your hard disk or it can include only important data files and program settings. This type of backup ensures that there is a copy of every file that might need to be restored. The first full backup will take considerably more time to process and transmit, and will likely be scheduled to run at a different time of the day than subsequent backups. The backup can be configured to run during a specific time window, e.g., 8 hours beginning at 11 p.m. each day. In this way you can configured a large backup to take several days to complete. Note: For large initial data loads (typically over 20 g of data), we can ship a hard drive to you so a special, initial backup can be made and loaded directly into our servers. This data copy is encrypted with your password and the only access we will have is to copy the data...we cannot retrieve or open the files. Day Two (and beyond) After the initial backup is completed, all subsequent backups are based on comparisons of the data on your computer versus what is stored at ReadySetBackup.com. Only what has changed in your files is sent to our servers. Therefore, it is often the case that a backup of your changes can be performed in only 15 minutes each time the software is run.
